Made to measure
Custom Melamine Bookcase
In our workshop in Saint-Savin (Isère, France), we build custom bookcases in melamine panels, designed around your walls, your volumes and your collection. Design yours with our 3D configurator — height, depth, number of shelves — and see it, with its price recalculated live. Every piece is made in the workshop in the décor and finish you choose.
Why choose a custom bookcase over a flat-pack one
A standard bookcase forces its dimensions onto your room; a custom one does the opposite. We fit the frame to the millimetre under a sloped ceiling, around a window or a radiator, and we size the shelves for what you actually store — coffee-table books, vinyl records or paperbacks. Melamine panels offer a stable, hard-wearing surface, and we match the shelf thickness to the expected load to prevent any sagging. It's furniture designed to last, fitted to your room rather than to a catalogue.
Décors and finishes: the character of your bookcase
We offer a wide range of melamine décors — oak, ash, walnut, beech and plain colours — each with its own grain and tone: oak for its bold figure, walnut for warm, deep hues, ash for its lightness. The melamine surface resists marks and wipes clean, with no special upkeep. We advise you based on your room's light and intended use, and you can preview each décor directly in the configurator.
From 3D to installation: how your project unfolds
It all starts with our 3D configurator: you set the dimensions, the number of levels, the décor and the finish, then preview the result in real time with its exact price. You order online and production begins in our Saint-Savin workshop, usually within two weeks. We deliver flat-packed throughout France; in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, we handle delivery, installation and wall-fixing ourselves for a perfectly level, secure result.
Styling and integrating your bookcase
For a wall-mounted bookcase, set the shelves closer together at the top and wider apart at the bottom: this houses large formats low down and lightens the upper section visually. If you run it floor to ceiling, a taller central niche creates a natural focal point. Consider mixing open shelving with closed cabinets to hide files and clutter, and reserve a few recessed shelves to display objects and frames. Wall-fixing is essential beyond a certain height — and that's exactly what we calculate and install for you in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a custom bookcase cost?+
The price depends on the dimensions, the décor and the finish you choose — a small bookcase doesn't cost the same as a full-height piece. The 3D configurator calculates the price live: you watch it change with each choice, with no quote to request, then you order online.
What are the production and delivery times?+
Typically under two weeks after your order, depending on the complexity of the piece and our workshop schedule. The precise timeframe is shown when you order, once your configuration is confirmed.
Do you handle installation?+
We deliver flat-packed throughout France. Delivery, installation and wall-fixing are handled by us in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Beyond that zone, we deliver the bookcase with instructions and fixing guidance so you can install it safely; installation remains available on request.
Which décor should I choose for a sturdy bookcase?+
All our bookcases are made from melamine panels, a stable and hard-wearing surface. Oak is our reliable choice for its grain; walnut brings warmer, more premium tones; ash and beech offer a lighter shade. We also match the shelf thickness to the expected load to prevent any sagging.
Are your bookcases sturdy?+
Yes. Handcrafted from melamine panels in our Saint-Savin (38) workshop, they're built to last. The melamine surface resists scratches and marks, and we size each shelf to the expected load to prevent any sagging.
